Couture Basics - Boiled Wool Jacket - ZOOM Workshop

Over two half-days we will be making a jacket out of boiled wool.

The jacket has been designed to be warm, soft, practical and stylish, that can be worn at home, to the office or to the shops. This boxy unlined jacket features pockets, a notched (step) collar, button closure, two-piece sleeve with multiple length options.

During the workshop you will learn how to make and fit toile, to trim and grade seam allowance, to do welt seam and to use twin needle.

Day 1 We will fit your toile and cut the fabric. If time permits, we will start sewing.
Day 2 Together we will work through the construction, step by step to sew your jacket.

Recommended fabric: boiled wool or wool blend with a good drape. It is important that the fabric chosen be non-fraying and not have a distinctive right and wrong side.

This workshop is suitable for intermediate sewists and will be run on-line using Zoom.
Pattern is included.
